Ford Escort Mk1 Van

The Escort Mk1 van was introduced in 1968, shortly after the Escort saloon debuted in late 1967.

It continued until 1975, when it was replaced by the Mk2 Escort van.

At the time, a Baird 701 colour tv cost £279.00 (£3200 in todays money), and 2001: A Space Odyssey was showing at the cinema. Celine Dion was born in this year

Captured here with a subtle wall background, this artwork celebrates a Ford commercial legend.
