Ford Escort Mk2 Mexico.

Introduced in late 1975 and production only running until 1978, the Ford Escort Mexico was a low volume performance Escort that earned a reputation for its excellent performance and handling.

In 1975 , a first-class stamp cost just 5 1/2p and increasing another penny before the year was out. and a gallon of petrol would set you back 73p. Not everything was cheaper though. A Hoover deluxe washing machine would set you back around £145.00 (approximately  £960 in todays money). Also in 1975 Britain voted to stay in the Common Market.

Captured here in six colours, this artwork celebrates the iconic Mk2 Mexico.
